sovereign computing — your hardware, your files, no accounts
built in Rust — driving toward pure-Rust releases of the whole suite
LOCAL-FIRST
Every tool runs on hardware you own. Nothing phones home, nothing
needs a login, nothing stops working when a company changes its mind.
FAIL-LOUD
No silent fallbacks, no degraded modes. When something breaks it says
so, plainly, so you can fix it — not discover it weeks later.
YOUR DISK
Files, not clouds. Plain formats you can read in twenty years. Your
work survives any vendor, any subscription, any deletion policy.
IN CONCERT
Not one app — a system. Notebook, CAD, image forge, print
pipeline: modules built to work together on your own machines.
THE LIVYATAN DESIGN SUITE
design → toolpath → machine — every module named from myth and antiquity

STRUCTOR
CAD, sovereign. Solids in, drawings out.

PHANTASOS
Image generation on your own iron. No queue, no account.

GILGAMESH
Image to mesh. A photo becomes a printable solid.

NAZCA
The viewer. Walk the lines before the machine does.

GLYPTICA
Glyphs into matter — artwork to cut lines and carved relief.
> five modules ready — Glyptica and Nazca are pre-beta — free for individuals and small shops, PolyForm Small Business 1.0.0_
> binaries first, source when the full suite ships_
STILL IN THE DEEP
coming soon — surfacing free as each one clears the bench

JOVE soon
Resin print prep. Supports, drains, slice to the vat. Held for more testing.

OURANOS soon
Geodesic dome design. Cut lists, hub schedules, FEA — tape-measure ready.

KISH soon
The library. Notebooks and reports, grounded in your own sources, or fantastical stories. Your choice, your voice.

DIDO soon
The boundary. Offsets and windings — the most land one hide can hold.

ONEIRA soon
The mind-space. Glide through your thoughts and dreams.

GORGON soon
A handheld 3D scanner — point it at a part, get a mesh back. Still being refined on the bench.
THE UNDERSEA CURRENTS
what moves beneath every module — described, not downloaded

TIAMAT current
The host. Every tool on one board — putting chaos to work.

CHIMAERA current
The hands and the helm. Camera, puck, and pointer — every window steers by one shared feel.

HADES current
The keeper. Giants sleep in the vault; one wakes when called.
DEEPER INTO THE ABYSS
the heavy modules — longest on the bench, last to surface

ANTIKYTHERA soon
Describe a mechanism, get a placed multi-part assembly. The anchor of the suite — still being proven out.

OANNES soon
The shop advisor. Grounded answers, honest G-code post.

HEPHAESTUS soon
CAM. Profiles, pockets, drills, 3D roughing — straight to G-code. Held for more testing.
THE HERALD
the build log — what cleared the bench, as it happens
- 2026-09-06 — The Obelisk goes up on Printables, twice: the blanks under CC BY so anyone can carve their own marks into them, and the glyph obelisk — my own drawing — as its own model. Mine is just the first one.
- 2026-09-06 — Livyatan takes a project page on Hackaday.io, with the obelisk written up as the suite's yardstick.
- 2026-09-06 — The first three modules leave the wall. Structor, Phantasos and GilgaMESH ship as Debian packages, free, downloadable by anyone.
- 2026-09-06 — The Obelisk takes its place across the suite: built in Structor, its glyphs carved from a thirty-year-old pencil drawing, welded watertight by GilgaMESH, printed and standing on the bench.
- 2026-09-06 — Structor's plate stands in a real room: SHOP 3D, a modelled thirty-metre bay with a granite inspection bench and a bridge crane overhead, plus HILLS 3D and SPACE 3D. Save, open, recent files and autosave arrive with it.
- 2026-09-06 — Phantasos renders against an hourglass whose sand is paced to the time your own machine takes, and will hand the work to a GPU box across the LAN at the press of one button.
- 2026-09-06 — GilgaMESH ships as a working test prototype, rough edges declared in its release notes rather than hidden.
- 2026-09-01 — First bench walk: every module opened one at a time, notes taken on each. Twenty-one findings, all closed the same night.
- 2026-09-01 — The NAV panel reaches every module: mouse feel tuned in one is honoured suite-wide, and Structor's panel gains mouse and keyboard sections of its own.
- 2026-09-01 — Structor grows PARTS and PRO-TAG menus — merge, weld and process tags step out of the keyboard and onto buttons.
- 2026-09-01 — Hephaestus watches itself work: live sim progress, and stacked toolpaths split into passes you can step through one at a time.
- 2026-09-01 — Phantasos learns to start from a picture, not just a prompt.
- 2026-09-01 — The build grid turns to glass, the art stops stretching, and every window opens on its own splash.
- 2026-09-01 — Ten modules packaged, ten man pages written, one metapackage:
apt install and the whole bench is on the machine.
- 2026-08-30 — Structor splash lands: the blank obelisk awaits the designer's decision.
- 2026-08-30 — The Obelisk printed: the suite's benchy exists in matter. First print passed.
- 2026-08-30 — Gorgon splash lands: Medusa and the rune obelisk.
- 2026-08-30 — LIVYATAN raised: the umbrella renamed, new masthead. Phantasos joins the available trio.
- 2026-09-12 — Glyptica and Nazca leave the wall. Glyptica turns a drawing on paper into cut lines and carved relief; Nazca walks any G-code or resin job, layer by layer, before the machine does. Both ship as Debian packages, free.
- 2026-09-12 — Labyrinth becomes Nazca, the viewer; the artwork module becomes Glyptica.
- 2026-08-29 — Iris merges into Nazca; Ziz becomes Oneira.
- 2026-08-28 — The wall reopens: the first free modules land; others hold for more testing.
